INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES
US AIR FORCE/ LACKLAND AMBULATORY CARE CENTER
Kaiva Services was awarded a contract to build a private network for LVS communications at Lackland Air Force Base. San Antonio. This included building pathways. telecommunications rooms build-outs. installing copper cabling. and terminating. testing and labeling all cables. Additionally. this work required that we install equipment to house LVS connectivity and network equipment. as well as system configuration, programming. and adjustments to facility connection for Access Control. Video Surveillance. and Paging. Further. we provided a CCTV system. a new Sound Masking System. and duress.
VAMC / SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA VETERANS HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (SLVHCS)
Kaiva Services was awarded a contract for installation and support services for Uninterruptable Power Supplies to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) Campus in New Orleans. LA.
VAMC / TENNESSEE VALLEY HEALTHCARE SYSTEM (TVHS)
Kaiva Services is the current contract-holder of a five-year contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs for the Tennessee Valley Health Center Services. Kaiva Services provides all necessary resources to install data. CAT5E, single and triplex drops as additions to the existing Structured Cable plant on each primary campus (Nashville Medical Center and Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro) of the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System.
US AIR FORCE/ OSAN CLINIC, SOUTH KOREA
Kaiva Services provided low-voltage system installation services for the Osan Clinic. The scope of work included installing an analog camera system. upgrading an existing Custom CCTV NVR. sound masking and training. Because of the quality of our work on this project. Kaiva Services was sole-sourced to complete the low-voltage portion of Phase II of this project to Upgrade and Install Additional CCTV.
US AIR FORCE/ ANNAPOLIS NAVAL ACADEMY
Kaiva Services provided and installed Low Voltage Systems at the Annapolis Naval Health Clinic. The scope of work included installing an intrusion detection system. wireless duress. hardwired duress. Access Control. a CATV system. and Patient Monitoring. Relocation of sensitive IT equipment in a 2,500 square foot space.
CYBER SECURITY
VA ACCELERATED LEARNING PROGRAM
Kaiva Tech provided training services and knowledge management in various Cybersecurity domains through practical application. research and development. and relevant training through our CYBERACADEMY Body of Knowledge (CABoK) program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). For the awarded Accelerated Learning Program (ALP). our firm provided training in a virtual (online) environment through four distinct and progressing phases (CABoK). with an additional integration and inclusion of Comp TIA certifications as entry and career progression training in Cybersecurity. CABoK with the CompTIA certification instruction contains over 160 hours of instruction that included:
- Live Instruction: current industry professionals presenting curriculum content that is relevant to industry operations: Giving a chance for students to learn from current practitioners and ask Cybersecurity questions that will receive real world answers.
- Recorded Instruction: Students have access to the recordings of all Live Instruction for the duration of their enrollment in the CABoK program. This allows them to review and deepen their understanding through repetition.
- Program Workbook/Learning Management: Students receive access to all course materials including presentations. a course workbook which includes all learning activities. and a repository of resources through the CABoK Blackboard CourseSite. This site not only provides access to content but also instructor help and peer interaction through wiki boards. and email exchanges. Additionally. all course material is able to be submitted through the learning management tools on the site for coursework feedback and checks on learning
- Assignments. Quizzes. and Lab Activities: There are multiple quizzes and checks on learning throughout all four phases of CABoK. To further understanding into the application level of instruction. there are also multiple desktop labs that allow the learner to perform basic Cybersecurity tasks using only the tools they have for the course – Laptop. Internet connection. and course material. The desktop exercises are designed to make the most the ALP and provide the learner with actual hands-on experience in performing tasks not just listen to theoretical approach only.
INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE ORS) APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT DATA DELIVERY SERVICES (AD:DDS) DIVISION SECURITY ENGINEERING SUPPORT
The Data Delivery Services (DDS) branch of the Internal Revenue Service’s Application Development division contracted with Kaiva Tech to ensure the integration of adequate security and privacy protections into its application development lifecycle. The DDS branch is responsible for development activities associated with the IRS most critical IT assets. Therefore. secure development and delivery of these systems is of critical importance to ensuring the success of the IRS’ mission. Kaiva Tech provided the up-front security engineering and privacy impact analysis support to DDS ensuring that critical IRS systems were developed with adequate security and privacy controls integrated throughout the system development lifecycle in accordance with Office of Management and Budget (0MB). Department of Treasury. and IRS policy requirements.
KPMG NIST SP 800-171 COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENT AND CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION PROTECTION PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
The top rated “Big 4” accounting firm KPMG. LLP engaged Kaiva Tech to complete an assessment of their global information systems for compliance with NIST Special Publication 800-171, Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations. within 9 months to meet their expedited compliance deadline. Major components of this effort included leveraging our firm’s expertise in N 1ST compliance to interpret and translate the 800-171 controls into understandable terms and. where possible. relating them to KPMG’s existing security architecture to meet compliance requirements: developing system security plans documenting control implementation: developing assessment plans and executing controls assessments: documenting assessment findings in security assessment reports; and developing plans of action and milestones for finding mitigation. Further. our scope also included the development of a risk-based continuous compliance program which enabled the Firm’s leadership to make informed decisions regarding how to respond to threats to the CUI data processed by its information systems.
USSOUTHCOM SECURITY SUPPORT SERVICES
Kaiva Tech’s team supports USSOUTHCOM’s mission by developing, implementing, and overseeing security management programs within the headquarters (HQ) and throughout USSOUTHCOM’s area of responsibility tAORl: which includes Central and South America, the Caribbean, and the adjacent waters of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and the Gulf of Mexico. Our team provides security service support operations such as. but not limited to. drafting, and reviewing policy memos. plans. SOPs. conducting inspections. access control. and manning the Security Help Desk needed to support USSOUTHCOM Headquarters in Miami Florida and it’s supporting facilities.
WASHINGTON HEADQUARTERS SERVICES (WHS) /JOINT SERVICES PROVIDER (JSP) ADMIN SUPPORT SERVICES
The Joint Service Provider USP) is responsible for the design. development. implementation. management and operation of Pentagon-wide enterprise information technology infrastructure services (networking. operating systems. applications. databases. communications software/hardware. desktops) engineering support, information technology/management. continuity of operations and information assurance. The support was to provide administrative and human resource support including internal and external communications. internal management control program. and support for leadership support in a wide range of DoD information management initiatives.

Kaiva Tech was brought on for administrative. management. and professional support services that provide support services. assistance. and training for the effective management and operation of ODCMO Continuity and Emergency Management programs. activities. and systems.
WASHINGTON HEADQUARTERS SERVICES (WHS), FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE (FMD), AUDIT SUSTAINMENT SUPPORT SERVICES
The Audit Sustainment Support Services effort includes the development and improvement of business processes and internal controls of operations. financial reporting. and financial systems for Washington Headquarter Services IWHS). Kaiva Tech has evaluated business processes and internal controls and performed testing to help ensure WHS Financial Management Directorate (FMD) maintains their effective operation. Kaiva Tech has completed the following:
- Develop and validate existing 0MB A-123 internal control documentation to ensure completeness. ensure accuracy, and recommend areas for improvement.
- Develop Risk and Control Matrix by financial statement line items.
- Develop Control Activity Testing Guidebooks for all internal controls over reporting assessable units.
- Review existing process documentation and assertion packages and recommend areas for improvement:
- Conduct recurring testing, notices of finding and recommendation analysis. and remediation support.
- Draft and implement CAPls) to successfully remediate all findings as identified by examinations and internal or external testing. and conduct additional testing for areas found deficient;
- Develop and validate corrective action plans to successfully remediate all findings.
